This is an example of how Mt Arts and Music supports the creative arts in Ogden Valley...  We got a call on Friday *july 22) at noon asking if we might promote a somewhat spontaneous concert in Huntsville Park on Saturday July 23.  A group of men who have played in a brass septet since their college days in 1967 had gathered for a reunion in Eden... They call themselves the "TARNISHED BRASS"!   They played at Union Station in Ogden and had only 10 people - it was hot and not much fun.  They were wandering around the valley and came across Huntsville Park and decided to investigate the possibility of playing on the stage there.   They spoke with the Mayor of Huntsville who said they wouldn't charge for use of the stage for  a spontaneous concert.  SO, they called Mt Arts and Music, and we put out an email blast, a posting on Facebook and a posting on the NextDoor Liberty website.   VOILA... the concert happened and there were 35-40 people in attendance!   They were great and definitely want to come back again!  THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME OUT ON SHORT NOTICE!
