I’m a multimedia artist.  I work with oils, acrylics, markers, pastels, colored pencils, paper, fabric, semi-precious gem stones, wire, wood, ceramics….  You name it, I’ve tried it.  I believe everyone can create some form of art with some type of media.  If they just try.

I started with oils in the 1970’s.  They were mostly landscapes, some still life.  I switched to acrylics and still wasn’t satisfied.  I did quite a lot of work in jewelry design which I did enjoy.  Then I found pryography (wood burning).  This is my forte. 

 

I love wood burning. It’s very textured and detailed and I’m very detail oriented.  I’ve been a wood burner for about 18 years.  It’s one of the most relaxing and rewarding forms of art I’ve ever worked with.  I started out with wooden boxes the gradually progressed to framed pictures.  My work is mostly nature based.  All the pieces are for sale and I would be more than happy to accept any commissions.
