Always wanted to take Dance Classes? Here's your chance! Once a month Friday evenings starting Friday, Mar 20, classes will be held at the Huntsville Town Hall from 7-9pm. The first hour will be a group class teaching East Coast Swing plus another core social dance (Waltz, Rumba, West Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Merengue & Ballads). The second hour will be open dance where you’ll get to practice what you’ve learned, get one on one help, and socialize. Goals: Gain confidence and competence in Swing and an understanding of other dance options for songs where the rhythm doesn’t feel appropriate for Swing. Develop connection with whomever you are dancing with through solid frame and handhold techniques to effectively communicate dance intention. Build community through social dance! March 20: Waltz; rumba April 17; West Coast Swing May 15; Cha Cha June 19; Merengue July 17; ballads 8/16. Sign up for individual classes ($10/class) or for all 6 sessions ($50 for 6 sessions). Held at the Huntsville New Town Hall. Age 16 yr and up.
